Hi, I’m Rachael

In my early 20s, I found myself feeling lost while navigating the hustle, sensory overload, and identity shift of living in NYC after moving from a sleepy beach town in North Carolina. I didn’t know which way was up and needed something to help ground me and connect me to me. I had taken yoga classes a few times previously and remembering how it had given me a sense of calm, so I decided to try it again. I soon discovered that the movement/breath union that yoga offers is exactly what I needed. Practicing made me feel comfortable and strong in my body—something I hadn’t experienced ever before—and tapped into and curious about my thoughts and emotions.

Seeking yoga studios and communities has been something I’ve carried with me wherever I’ve moved or traveled and while living in LA in my 30s, I went deeper and took a teacher training at Santa Monica Yoga, where I started teaching in 2016.

Since then, I’ve devoted my spare time to learning more health and well-being modalities that bring a sense of strength, nourishment, joy and balance so that I can both embody these effects and share them with others.

I feel especially called to support women in midlife as new health and well-being challenges present themselves in this season of life. I believe we all deserve to be heard, supported, and empowered amid the “messy middle”. Whether it’s through health coaching, yoga, meditation, or Pilates, consider me your resource to help you live your best life.

The best yoga experience I’ve had! Rachael had a calm and soothing presence and tailored the practice specifically to my needs. I felt peaceful, grounded, and open by the end. Rachael was very professional but not intimidating in her instructing. I would highly recommend her!!

I had the lovely pleasure of a private yoga session with Rachael a few weeks ago. She guided me and my two daughters in a sunrise, outdoors experience in the Smoky Mountains. Rachael’s voice was extremely soothing and peaceful. The stretches and poses were perfect for us to calm down and relax . Rachael’s music added a special tranquility to the session. I only wish she lived closer to me so I could enjoy weekly sessions with her!

Rachael is the best yoga teacher around! She meets her class where they are and helps you grow and learn in a comfortable and supportive environment. I always leave her class feeling stronger and more relaxed, without feeling pushed. I never know where the time goes in class!! In addition to being a highly skilled teacher, she’s also an incredibly warm person and wonderful to be around!

Rachael is by far the best yoga instructor I’ve ever had. As a runner, I have pretty tight hamstrings and Rachael always makes sure I’m comfortable in different poses and I’ve seen my flexibility improve dramatically. I would recommend Rachael to anyone - she’s the best!
